Kitchen Garden Day falls on a First Day - August 22 to be exact.  This has been created in response to a new marketing effort: Snack Food Month (to be held in February).  As good as we're getting at growing things, it seemed like it would be fun if we celebrated by bringing some of the fruits of our gardens (in easily edible forms) for refreshment time that day.  Does that seem like something we could do?  Not everyone would have to participate, and probably an enthusiastic but gardenless person could cheat and bring something from the Farmers Market.  

This is part of a nationwide effort sponsored by Kitchen Gardeners International (well, then, maybe it's more than nationwide.).  Folks can celebrate however they wish.
