Leesa Whitson recommends The Association of Bad Friends, a Facebook group for Friends who sometimes fall short of being “good” Quakers.

This is definitely not for anyone who takes things too seriously. This is what the Facebook group says about itself: “A group for folks who are just not very good at being Quaker — who aren't always peaceable, humble, kind, loving, truthful ... and know it.

“It’s a place to poke fun at ourselves (as bad Friends) and not at anybody else we might consider bad (or “good” Friends. The emphasis of the Association of Bad Friends is “good” fun.

“Members must selfnominate. Yearly Meetings and their officials are not allowed to name prospective members.”
